Jackie's Restaurant supports Tibet

So on the metro this morning looking out the window as I left Silver Spring I saw the neighborhood's infamous digs, Jackie's Restaurant, and I thought, "I need to get over there this summer. Then I just happened upon this event at The List Are You On It taking place on Wednesday at Jackie's. They are hosting a Fundraiser for a Tibetan Monastery welcoming a delegation of Tibetan Lamas from Sakya Dokho Monastery in Tromthar, Kham, Tibet, headed by Tulku Nyima Gyaltsen Rinpoche. Visiting the United States since January, and having traveled to give teachings around the country, they return to Tibet on April 4. This evening will be a rare opportunity to meet with these spiritual leaders and to support their efforts to rebuild their Monastery in Tibet. A donation of $10.00-20.00 is suggested; in addition proceeds from the evening's food and beverage sales will be contributed toward this end.
