ARTINI IN APRIL! at your favorite spots and the finale at the Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design

Artini
During the month of April, specially designed “artinis” will be served up at 15 restaurants in DC. The 1869 Society, the Corcoran Gallery of Art’s circle of young benefactors, is hosting a special competition to benefit the scholarship fund at the Corcoran College of Art + Design. The goal: to create the most artistic martini!

These creative concoctions will be featured on each of the restaurants’ menus for a month and customers can vote for their favorite cocktails on the Washington City Paper’s
ARTINI Web site (www.washingtoncitypaper.com/artini) beginning on April 1. The winner of ARTINI will be announced at a culminating event at the Corcoran (500 Seventeenth St. NW) on Wednesday, April 30. Throughout the evening event, guests can sample the top “artinis” and tour the Corcoran’s newest exhibition, The American Evolution: A History through Art.

The participating venues have created such masterpieces as: “Mary with a Cherry,” “A Unique Bronze Piece,” “Bonapartini,” “D’iCi Tini,” “Mary's Pearls,” “Kama Sutra,” “The Dolly Madison,” and “The Goldini.”

The following venues will compete: Bobby Van’s Steakhouse, Hook, Hudson, Inde Bleu, Le Bar/ ICI Urban Bistro, Lotus Lounge, M Bar Lounge, Mie N Yu, Napoleon Bistro & Lounge, Perry’s Restaurant, Poste Moderne, Teatro Goldoni, The Park at Fourteenth, Topaz Bar, and West End Bistro.

ARTINI is sponsored by Christiania Vodka, the Washington City Paper, and Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington.
Tickets for the ARTINI party are $60 for Members and $80 for Non-Members.

ARTINI will also offer the opportunity to purchase tickets for a raffle drawing to be held at the final ARTINI party.
