Tonight Texas Made via Art Whino

As always, staying true to my Texas roots, I am super hype about Art Whino's opening tonight of Texas Made and I hope to see you all there. Having worked in the Texas Senate for two years for the wonderful Senator Van de Putte and living there for almost all of my life I can not wait to see the works of these talented Texans.

What you most likely don't know is that Art Whino, lead by Shane Pomajambo, benefits the DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative. Art Whino donates a portion of the proceeds from each of their events to the Collaborative.

Serving more than 200,000 children since 1998 from 141 schools, the DC Collaborative provides DC Public School students with free tickets and bus transportation to museums, musical and theatrical productions across the District. We also provide professional development classes for art teachers.

I sit on the Board of Directors for the Collaborative and I encourage you to visit our site and learn more about our impact on the District. See everyone tonight!
