An underground Thanksgiving oasis: Lotus Lounge

It's the Pre-Thanksgiving Bash & Michael Romeo's Birthday at Lotus Lounge Tonight. Happy hour until 11 p.m. with $5 Beer, Wine, Call, Dumplings, Chef's Choice Roll, and 1/2 Off Martinis

Lotus’ digs are hot with a wooden staircase and waterfall leading to the underground oasis. Once downstairs, it opens up into Thai heaven with tree trunk ottomans, a lounging Buddha that would look phenom in my apartment, and lotus shaped light fixtures falling from the ceiling. Lotus is the perfect spot for VIP, and for those not willing to dish out $500 to $1,200 for table service, you still have ample room to stand and get your groove on. The music is your basic house international mixes, thus if you can’t take some serious beat-boppin’ in your ear, steer clear. But if you dig men clad with Ed Hardy T’s, Ralph Lauren Black Label polos, and long-legged babes in short mini’s, this is the place for you.
