Mid City Artist Studio Tours this Weekend

http://www.midcityartists.com/%5Cartwork%5Cpress%5CMCA8.jpg

The Mid City neighborhood of Washington, DC, is a hub for DC’s visual arts community. It’s also the creative space for the 25 artists who are opening their studio doors to the public on November 6 and 7. You are invited inside artists’ homes and work spaces to meet the artists, enjoy and buy art.

The Mid City Artists event offers a special opportunity for art-lovers to take a peek into the artists' creative process, connect personally with artists and learn more about how and where they make art. There is a great diversity of work, including drawings, sculptures, paintings, prints, photographs and mixed media. Open studios offers visitors an inside view into the art world in the setting where artists make their creations.

Maps of the open studios are available HERE. The event is 12 to 5 PM Saturday and Sunday, November 6 and 7. Some times do vary, so please check the schedule.

Home 4 the Holidays Pet Adoption Event this Saturday in Reston! Come Meet Gustav!

This Friday I'll welcome into my home a foster pup named Gustav who is currently looking for a home. Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is the organization that I am volunteering with as a foster pooch mom. It is small-volunteer, non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless animals and educating the community on responsible pet ownership. Lucky Dog does not have its own facility. Instead, their dogs stay with temporary fosters (and occasionally boarding partners) while they wait to find their forever home.

If you are free this Saturday and in the Reston area, come meet GUSTAV and other great adoptable dogs from 11 a.m. to 1:30pm at Home 4 the Holidays (Reston Town Center - 11900 Market Street Reston, VA 20190)! I will be there all morning with Gustav. If you are interested in adopting Gustav please contact Daniella at daniellaluckydog@gmail.com) for more information about this adorable guy. I'll be showering him with love until he finds a home.
