Today, the organizers of DC Fashion Week will start accepting designer applications for ninth cycle of DC Fashion Week. The next fashion week is September 14 - 21. 2008. The International Couture Collections will return to the Embassy of France La Maison Francaise on September 21, 2008. The event has grown in popularity, selling out for the past three fashion weeks. Designers from around the world are expected to apply for a coveted spot at the final event.
The previous fashion week witnessed a record amount of designers (18) exhibiting on the final day. The fashion week also featured 75 models in the production, including two former Miss Ukraine pageant winners and an America's Next Top Model contestant.
Models interested in participating may apply June 1. The model auditions will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2008 at the Crystal City Doubletree Hotel. The hotel's address is 300 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, VA. The models will be screened in the Lincoln Hall. Model applications may be downloaded for the website www.dcfashionweek.org.
