Your Dream Job: Thanks to DCstylemag.com for the skinny

What did you want to be when you grew up? A TV star? Firefighter? Supermodel? Just because many of us got sidetracked by real life doesn’t mean it's time to put those dreams on the shelf forever. You’ll get the chance to revisit the fantasies of your youth at the annual Dream Job Auction at the Four Seasons Hotel on Thursday, May 1 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Guests will bid on one-day gigs they could normally only daydream about, such as sitting in the executive editor's chair at The Washington Post, boasting VIP access to Citronelle's kitchen for the evening or flying as a fighter pilot. Other auction items include producing NPR’s All Things Considered or managing the Nats for a day.

The donations help others bring more feasible dreams to reality as well—all proceeds are going to Workforce Organizations for Regional Collaboration, which helps people in Greater Washington find jobs. For a complete list of potential jobs, go to the Web site and start fantasizing!

Dream Job Auction, Thursday May 1 from 6 to 9 p.m., Four Seasons Hotel, 2800 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, 703.769.3712
